Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking a part-time (12-16 hrs/week) Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to become an integral member of our small engineering consulting firm. Position requirements are as follows:

Experience

  • 2 years+ experience working in corporate finance.
  • A degree in Business preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in bookkeeping/accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Payroll for salaried and hourly employees (approx. 10 total), including payroll taxes and filings.
  • Monthly reconciliation of business bank account.
  • Prepare and analyze periodic finance reports and account reconciliation reports.
  • Prepare quarterly tax documents and provide year-end documents to certified public accountant.
  • Employee benefit coordination and administration.
  • Assist with miscellaneous office administration tasks.

Skills and software

  • Proficient in Ajera.
