Many contract documents show minimal installation detail, i.e. single-line piping for chiller plants and cooling towers.  This forces the contactor to determine pipe routing and device locations without knowledge of design criteria which many times compromises system performance or equipment maintenance.  We feel that the design documents should include dimensional piping plans and sections that clearly show the routing and placement of piping, equipment and devices.
